Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book my house removal?

We recommend booking your house removal at least two to four weeks before your intended move date, particularly if you're planning to move on a Friday, Saturday, or at the end of the month — these dates are the busiest in the London removals calendar and are often the first to go. If your move falls during the summer months between June and August, or coincides with a school holiday period, booking six to eight weeks ahead gives you the greatest flexibility. For properties involved in chains, we strongly advise securing your preferred removal date as early as possible, as delays in the conveyancing process can result in short-notice moves. If you find yourself needing to move at short notice due to a chain collapse or a last-minute completion, call us on 07346595376 and we will do everything we can to fit you in promptly.

What if my completion date changes?

We understand that property chains can be notoriously unpredictable, and completion date changes are one of the most stressful parts of moving house in London. That's why we've made our rescheduling policy as flexible as possible. If your completion date changes, you can amend or reschedule your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before your confirmed move date. If the change is more last-minute — for example, a completion delayed on the morning of your move — we will always do our very best to accommodate you, subject to vehicle and team availability. In cases where we cannot immediately slot you in, we can arrange secure short-term storage for your belongings while you wait for a new completion date, ensuring everything remains safe and insured. We've handled hundreds of chain-related complications over the years and will guide you through the process calmly and efficiently, no matter what.

Do you move plants, pets, or hazardous items?

We can transport the vast majority of household items, but there are some categories that removal companies are legally or practically unable to carry. Pets cannot be transported in a removal van for welfare and safety reasons — you will need to arrange a separate vehicle or pet transport service. While we can move a small number of potted plants, large quantities of live plants are not practical for removal due to breakage risk and care requirements during transit. Hazardous materials including gas canisters, aerosols, flammable liquids, paint, certain chemicals, and firearms cannot be transported. Perishable food is also not recommended for longer-distance moves. If you have any items you're unsure about, simply ask us when you book and we'll give you clear guidance on what we can and cannot take. In most cases, we can suggest practical alternatives so your move is as complete and stress-free as possible.

How do you price a house removal?

Our pricing is based on the volume of items, distance, number of floors, access conditions, and any additional services required. We provide a fixed, all-inclusive price after your initial quote — no hidden extras.
